Provider Trainings
We offer continuing education programs for healthcare professionals:
Healing, Mindfulness, and Compassion for Healthcare Providers
CME’s avaialable
Fall 2013 Ratna Ling Retreat Center Cazadero, CA
This program combines a Western medical perspective, a focus on increasing our understanding of the patient/provider relationship, and an introduction to traditional Tibetan medicine practices (Kum Nye yoga, mindfulness meditation) to develop a refined and holistic approach to healing. The healing relationship will be explored using the Balint group process, a case presentation method that explores the complex factors in the provider/patient relationship. The program will offer personal experience and reflection on how the integrative approach can be successfully applied in a healthcare setting.
Bridging the Gap for CAM Providers
This three part program teaches participants how to interact effectively with often busy and overburdened physicians and other medical professionals. You will learn to improve your verbal and written communication skills, improve the coordination and care of patients you share, and increase your understanding of the medical system. Participants will have the opportunity to develop ways to present their modality to physicians, will understand chart documentation from a medical perspective, and will receive training on working in a medical setting. Contact us for more information.
Bridging the Gap: For Doctors and Allied Healthcare Professionals
This program offers physicians, nurses practitioners, nurses, and others communication training to enhance the patient-provider relationship. It also offers an introduction to alternative (CAM) modalities from an integrative perspective. Contact us to bring this program to your clinic.
