Along with our partner, the Tibetan Aid Project, we co-sponsor two educational and self-care retreats for healthcare professionals. Held on a biannual basis, these retreats are designed to encourage a deeper understanding of relational medicine and self-care.

Healing, Mindfulness, and Compassion Retreat

Health care professionals are invited to attend this biannual integrative medicine and Balint process program. This program combines Western medicine perspectives with the Balint group process and traditional Tibetan practices of Kum Nye yoga and meditation. Attendees will gain an understanding of the complex factors in the provider/patient relationship and the tools necessary to integrate conventional and complementary approaches to patient care.

Creating Wellness for Yourself and Your Patients

Healthcare providers are becoming increasingly aware of the essential need for healthy self-care habits for themselves as well as for their patients. This retreat will focus on how to create positive habits that lead to healthier lifestyle choices. There will be demonstrations and practice in teaching patients stress-reduction and rejuvenation exercises and healthy eating.
